Words cannot describe the joy and hope that your contribution has brought to the client family we discussed with you some weeks ago.
Naturally, the mother was overjoyed, but the two teenagers really showed an appreciation that was quiet but, nevertheless, very sincere. You could see they were very pleased that someone cared that much for their mom and also cared that much for them as well.
The physical benefits of your caring are self evident. The spiritual benefits are a little more subtle , but I am here to tell you, Tom, this family has become much closer because a stranger cared enough to step up and lift a burden that would just never go away. St. Vincent De Paul is smiling upon you Thomas Baumer.
Incidentally, I researched the founding of our local St. Vincent De Paul Society, and Jim and Tom Suffolk were founding members which took place on December 4, 1949.
Thanks again Tom for your help in this matter. You will be receiving a more formal recognition within a few days, but I wanted to thank you personally as well.
As always a friend, BIll Huagen, President St. Vincent De Paul Society St. Theresa Parish Conference
